Review of Ranneeti: Balakot And Beyond

Plot:

The series focuses on the aftermath of a suicide attack on Indian soldiers and the retaliation in Balakot. It emphasizes the battle of perception and internet warfare in modern times. While certain parts of the plot are engaging, others feel either too simplistic or unnecessarily complicated.

Acting:

The performances by the cast are mostly obvious and lack depth. Ashutosh Rana, however, stands out with his wit and menace in every scene. Jimmy Shergill and Lara Dutta also add to the charm of the series.

Cinematography:

The aerial sequences and action scenes are choreographed and shot well, adding to the authenticity of the series. The visuals are engaging and complement the storyline effectively.

Direction:

The direction of the series is upto the mark at some places but its not consistent. While some aspects like the mission planning are well-executed, others feel dragged out or convoluted. Certain dialogues and scenes lack the necessary thrill and tension to captivate the audience.

Conclusion:

Ranneeti: Balakot And Beyond is a tribute to the armed forces and showcases the intricacies of modern warfare. While it has its moments of brilliance, the series struggles to maintain a consistent pace and engagement throughout. With a mix of strong performances and gripping visuals, the series manages to deliver a patriotic storyline with a focus on the 'Beyond' narrative.
