Badass Ravi Kumar Movie Review

Plot:

Badass Ravi Kumar follows the story of Ravi Kumar, a fearless cop on a mission to protect his nation's secrets. When a dangerous clip containing sensitive information falls into the wrong hands, Ravi must embark on a high-stakes journey to retrieve it. Filled with action, comedy, and a hint of romance, the film promises to deliver an entertaining ride through the world of 80s style Bollywood masala films.

Acting:

Himesh Reshammiya takes on the role of Ravi Kumar, the larger-than-life cop with a dedication to fighting crime. While his action sequences are tolerable, his emotional depth falls short, leaving the audience wanting more. Prabhu Deva brings some amusement as the flashy villain Carlos Pedro Panther, but ultimately falls short of being a truly formidable antagonist. The supporting cast, unfortunately, is underutilized, with performances that lack impact and depth.

Cinematography:

Visually, the film offers polished VFX and action sequences that aim to capture the nostalgic essence of 80s Bollywood. However, despite the visual appeal, the film fails to deliver the larger-than-life masala experience it promises. The chaotic and incomplete subplots, gun battles, and uncalled stunts add to the overall jumbled mess that the cinematography struggles to elevate.

Direction:

The direction of Badass Ravi Kumar attempts to blend spoof, parody, and homage to 80s action films, but ultimately falls short of hitting the mark. The disjointed narrative and lack of coherence make the film feel more exhausting than thrilling, lacking the impactt needed to truly engage the audience. While the film aims to deliver over-the-top entertainment, it struggles to find its footing amidst the chaos of its own creation.

Conclusion:

Badass Ravi Kumar may promise a ride through the world of 80s Bollywood masala films, but it ultimately falls short of delivering on its ambitious premise. The film's attempts at blending spoof, parody, and homage result in a disjointed storyline which fails to impress the audience. While the visuals are polished and the action sequences offer some entertainment, the lack of emotional depth, coherent storytelling, and impactful performances leave much to be desired. Ultimately, Badass Ravi Kumar is an exhausting affair that fails to provide the guilty-pleasure entertainment it aims for.
