Plot

Bloody Daddy is an adaptation of the French film Sleepless Night. It follows NCB officer Sumair Azad (Shahid Kapoor) as he tries to retrieve his kidnapped teenage son by returning a bag of cocaine to drug lord Sikander Choudhary (Ronit Bose Roy). However, things don't go as planned, and a violent fight ensues.

Acting

Shahid Kapoor delivers a heroic screen presence but falls short in the acting department. The rest of the ensemble cast, including Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Sanjay Kapoor, and Diana Penty, fail to leave a lasting impact due to their underdeveloped characters.

Cinematography

The film's DoP experiments with camera angles, using techniques such as panning and zooming to establish urgency and thrill during action sequences.

Direction

Ali Abbas Zafar, known for his action thrillers, adds elements from his niche to the film, including building tension and saving the most action for the second half.

Overall Verdict

Bloody Daddy is a half-baked and bland action thriller with a wafer-thin plot and undercooked characters that fails to offer an adrenaline rush. While Shahid Kapoor's screen presence is admirable, the film falls short in all other aspects of filmmaking.
