Tejas : Movie Review

Plot

Taking inspiration from the Indian Air Force's milestone decision in 2016, Tejas is an exhilarating film centered around Tejas Gill, a determined Indian Air Force pilot eager to fly a fighter plane and serve her country. Tejas bravely convinces her superiors to entrust her with a mission to rescue a hostage. Accompanied by her loyal co-pilot Afia, they embark on a mission to protect their nation from an imminent terrorist attack. The movie showcases Tejas' bravery, patriotism, and the ultimate success of their mission.

Acting

The portrayal of Tejas Gill by Kangana Ranaut is critically acclaimed, showcasing her as a strong-willed officer leaving a lasting impression with her composed yet unyielding demeanor. Anshul Chauhan delivers a stand-out performance as Afia, Tejas' unwavering and supportive co-pilot, injecting energy and charisma into the film.

Cinematography

Director of Photography Hari K Vedantam captures visually striking scenes, effectively depicting the airstrikes, flights, and intense battle sequences in the desert. The film's action sequences serve as its highlight, with Kangana Ranaut effortlessly embodying the role of a fighter pilot.

Direction

Sarvesh Mewara, in his directorial debut, successfully tells Tejas' story by highlighting the human side of the protagonist. The film skillfully balances emotional moments with intense action sequences, creating a gripping and dramatic narrative.

Conclusion

Tejas is likely to appeal to fans of patriotic movies and defense dramas. While the film offers emotional depth and exhilarating action, there is room for improvement in terms of a stronger storyline and tighter screenplay to enhance its impact. Some technical shortcomings, such as unremarkable aerial shots and distracting background music, could be addressed. Nevertheless, Kangana Ranaut's performance as Tejas Gill is commendable.
