Aankh Micholi Review

Plot

The Singh family, hailing from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, is in dire need of finding a suitable marriage proposal for their daughter, Paro. However, there's a twist - each member of the family has their own distinctive medical condition. The father grapples with short-term memory loss, the elder brother is deaf, the second brother stammers, the elder brother's wife frequently mixes up proverbs, and the daughter suffers from night blindness. Determined to surmount these challenges, they welcome a family of Non-Residential Indians (NRIs) as potential in-laws. Both families, though, must conceal their disabilities, leading to a series of comical situations and unforeseen turns of events.

Acting

The film "Aankh Micholi" features a talented cast ensemble including renowned actors such as Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee, Divya Dutta, and Vijay Varma. However, despite their impressive skills, their performances are overshadowed by a lackluster script and poorly executed comedy. Paresh Rawal and Abhishek Banerjee put forth their best efforts, yet unfortunately, the mediocre writing diminishes their contributions. On a brighter note, Divya Dutta injects some much-needed comedic energy into her character while Sharman Joshi's running joke of being unable to hear becomes wearisome over time. Ultimately, the flawed script undermines the actors' performances.
