Ajmer 92 Review : Unveiling a Dark Past

Plot

Ajmer 92 unearths a horrific incident from the past that deeply impacted the city of Ajmer in 1992. The film portrays the systematic blackmail and rape of more than 100 girls. The story takes a dark turn when a journalist delves into the matter, leading to shocking revelations of corruption and abuse that have plagued the city.

Acting

The main characters deliver commendable performances, with notable contributions from Rajesh Sharma, Sayaji Shinde, and Manoj Joshi. However, the lead actors, Karan Verma and Sumit Singh, lack depth and fail to leave a lasting impact, dampening the film's intensity.

Cinematography

The film's heart is in the right place, aiming to portray a meaningful drama. Some sequences come across as superficial, leaving a desire for a more in-depth exploration of the case. Nevertheless, Ajmer 92 manages to keep the audience engaged.

Direction

Pushpendra Singh's direction is earnest, in an attempt to bring out the sequence of events of that times. Apart from some of the scenes, the director is able to highlight the need of women empowerment to fight with grave crimes like rapes and molestation.

Overall

Overall the movie highlights the systematic problems that need to be addressed to stop violence against women. If you can keep political and religion related aspect aside and think as a whole in terms of society then it could be worth a watch.
