Movie Review: Baby John
Plot
Baby John follows the story of a former cop, Satya Verma, who leads a dual life so that one of his enemy from his professional life stay away from her daughter. However, as soon as his identity gets compromised he needs to come out to protect his girl while taking down the nemesis.
Acting
Varun Dhawan impresses with his performance, balancing the roles of a caring father and a brave cop. Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav also deliver solid performances, with Jackie Shroff's menacing portrayal leaving a lasting impression.
Cinematography
Kiran Koushik's cinematography adds flair to the film with exciting stunt choreography, pyrotechnics, and creative camera angles. The visual elements enhance the action sequences and add to the overall appeal of the movie.
Direction
Directed by Kalees, Baby John falls short in cohesive storytelling and fails to make the narrative engaging throughout its runtime. The film's choppy editing and lack of depth in character relationships hinder its impact on the audience.
Conclusion
Baby John may offer entertaining moments as an action entertainer, but it struggles to stand out in a genre saturated with similar stories. Varun Dhawan's performance shines in a movie that ultimately lacks substance and fails to impress as a mass entertainer.
