Review: Hostel Daze Season 3 - A Hilarious Journey of Growing Up

Plot

Hostel Daze season 3 follows the lives of six engineering hostelites - Akanksha, Chirag, Rupesh aka Jaat, Jatin Kishore aka Jhantoo, Nabomita, and Ankit aka Dopa - as they navigate through the mid-life crises of their third year in college while learning and growing, strengthening their bond. While the story may seem clichéd, the characters make up for it with their fantastic performances.

Acting

The actors in Hostel Daze season 3 carry the script on their shoulders quite well. Nikhil Vijay as Jhantoo is hilarious, Utsav Sarkar as Dopa and Ahsaas Channa as Akanksha are sweet and likeable characters, and Shubham Gaur as Jaat is funny. Ayushi Gupta as Nabomita also excels, while Luv Vispute's Chirag and Nikhil Vijay's Jhaatu steal the show with their eccentric characters.

Cinematography

Hostel Daze season 3 boasts good cinematography that captures the college life vibe well. The lighting and camera work are spot on, with attention paid to detail, making the show more relatable and immersive.

Direction

Directed by Abhinav Anand, who is new onboard, Hostel Daze season 3 offers a sneak peek into the lives of these now-seniors in their third year at engineering college. The direction is commendable, with a good balance between rip-roaring humour, clever pop culture references, and witty one-liners that complement the depth of emotions rarely seen in campus dramas.

Final Verdict

Hostel Daze Season 3 may not offer anything new to the story, but it still manages to make you laugh at intervals. The characters are endearing, and the storyline continues to follow the amusing and oddball dialogues, which tie everything together perfectly. The show balances humour and poignant moments well, making for an enjoyable and entertaining watch. If you're looking for a good laugh and have seen the previous seasons, this one should not be missed. With a good script, excellent performances, and commendable direction, Hostel Daze Season 3 is one of the best web series in Hindi out there currently.
