Review: Indian Police Force
Plot
Rohit Shetty's, Indian Police Force, is all about the world of Delhi Police in the time when a series of bombings are being done the by Indian Mujahideen. The show follows the Joint CP Vikram Bakshi and SP Kabir Malik as they lead a special cell unit assigned to investigate about the source and motive behind these activities. While the premise is gripping, the narrative occasionally succumbs to predictability and the same old crime drama sequences
Acting
The acting in Indian Police Force is generally sincere, with Sidharth Malhotra delivering a notable performance as Kabir Malik. However, Vivek Oberoi falls short of expectations in his portrayal of Vikram Bakshi. One standout performance comes from Sharad Kelkar, who brings delight and humor to the series.
Cinematography
The cinematography in Indian Police Force has moments of brilliance, capturing the intensity and urgency of the narrative. However, it occasionally gets entangled in choppy visual effects and computer graphics faux pas, which detracts from the overall viewing experience.
Direction
The direction by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash is commendable in drawing up the aura around the characters. However, you might feel that it goes on and on and take characters away from the realistic portrayal. At some places the flow of events appear to be very slow and takes away the tension of the sequences.
Conclusion
Despite its flaws, Indian Police Force is a decent watch in the genre of crime dramas. The series captures the attention of viewers in various sequences while depicting tension and chaos. The pulsating soundtrack adds intensity to the narrative, and the inclusion of fresh and dynamic characters injects freshness into the storytelling. While it may not reach the heights of other crime dramas, Indian Police Force is still worth a watch for fans of the genre.
