Movie Review: Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay

Plot

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay is a story of Heer and Iraa, a young couple caught in a web of misunderstandings and societal pressure to have a baby. The plot starts off light and breezy but weakens post-intermission with melodramatic twists and predictable clichés, ultimately leading to a rushed and chaotic climax.

Acting

Guru Randhawa makes a confident debut, showing room for improvement in dialogue delivery. Saiee Manjrekar is upto the mark with a charming performance and complements Randhawa well. Supporting actors like Anupam Kher, Ila Arun, and Atul Shrivastav deliver competent performances, holding the film together in the second half.

Cinematography

The cinematography by R M Swamy is average, with frequent shots of the Taj Mahal feeling repetitive. Costumes and production design add richness to the visual appeal, but overall, the technical aspects do not stand out.

Directed by Ashok G, the film captures the essence of small-town India with authentic characters rooted in the milieu.
