Plot:

Mrs Undercover revolves around Durga, a homemaker and former spy, who reluctantly takes up the case of tracking down a serial killer who targets independent women. While the film tries to tackle several issues, none of the subplots have been fleshed out correctly, making it difficult to relate to the characters. The writing is all over the place, leaving the director to do a better job of constructing the film's world. Mrs Undercover partly redeems itself in the last 15 minutes as a powerful sequence highlights the importance of respecting women.

Acting:

Radhika Apte's performance as Durga is the backbone of Mrs Undercover. She rises above the lacklustre script to make her presence felt. She is equally good in action sequences, making them feel realistic with her sincerity. Rajesh Sharma shines despite being burdened with a one-dimensional character. Sumeet Vyas, on the other hand, fails to hold our attention till the end.

Cinematography and Editing:

The cinematography and editing are passable, but they do not offer anything extraordinary.

Direction:

Anushree Mehta's direction fails to deliver an engaging film despite having a perfect star vehicle for Radhika. A better job of constructing the film's world and fleshing out the subplots would have made Mrs Undercover an entertaining film.

Overall:

Mrs Undercover is a disappointing spy-comedy that can be enjoyed only if one watches it with zero expectations. It tries to tackle several issues but fails to flesh them out correctly. Radhika Apte's performance is the only saving grace of the film.
