Plot:

Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo is a crime thriller that revolves around a powerful matriarch who leads a covert drug cartel. The show is set in a nondescript town in North West India and features an impressive line-up of powerful women characters.

Acting:

The entire series is a full marks when it comes to acting. Every nitty-gritty has been given the utmost attention, and the women in the series have a dialect that’s best known to them. Dimple Kapadia leads the pack, delivering a menacing performance as Rani Baa. Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar are also impressive in their roles.

Cinematography:

The show’s setting in the parched and arid land of north-western India is pitch perfect, and the costumes and makeup of each character is impressive. The rustic makeovers complete with ancient tattoos and ethnic ornaments have the requisite detailing.

Direction:

Director Homi Adajania manages to grab your interest right from the beginning with a spine-chilling scene. He executes this with an action-packed screenplay where each minute is filled with tension and unpredictability.

Overall:

Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo is a crime thriller that’s fully 'loaded' with solid content. The show is a refreshing change from the typical saas-bahu dramas and features an impressive line-up of powerful women characters. The acting is top-notch, the cinematography is pitch perfect, and the direction is impeccable. If you’re a fan of crime thrillers, then this show should definitely be on your watchlist.
