Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: Movie Review

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a Bollywood film that attempts to explore the concept of human-robot interaction and love. It follows the story of Aryan, a robot specialist who falls in love with Sifra, a humanoid robot capable of copying human emotions. The film begins with a promising plot, but soon loses its way and becomes a disappointing sci-fi thriller. While the acting and cinematography are commendable, the direction and writing fail to deliver a compelling story.

Plot

The film starts off with an interesting premise, but quickly deviates from its initial concept. The first half is filled with senseless events and a lack of believability. The romance between Aryan and Sifra feels forced, and the audience is left questioning the logic of the story. The second half introduces some light humor and family dynamics, but the jokes fall flat and fail to create a genuine laughter. The climax attempts to bring clarity to the plot, but it ultimately falls short.

Acting

Shahid Kapoor delivers a sincere performance as Aryan, but at times his character appears to be lacking depth. Kriti Sanon shines in her portrayal of Sifra, effectively capturing the gestures and body language of a robot. Her dedication to the role is commendable, despite the film's weak script. The supporting cast, including Dharmendra and Rakesh Bedi, tries to elevate the material, but their characters are cliched and offer little to the story.

Cinematography

The film's cinematography is one of its strengths. The CGI and VFX, especially in the introductory scenes of the robot lab, are well-executed. The visuals add a sense of authenticity to the futuristic world of the film. Additionally, the dance sequences featuring Shahid Kapoor are visually appealing and showcase his talent as a natural dancer.

Direction

The direction of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya falls short of expectations. The filmmakers fail to fully exploit the potential of the unique concept and instead deliver a half-baked story. The pacing is inconsistent, and the film struggles to engage the audience for its two-hour-plus runtime. The attempt to create a story around a Punjabi family and a wedding feels cliched and unoriginal.

Conclusion

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a disappointing film that fails to deliver on its promising concept. While the acting and cinematography are commendable, the direction and writing hinder the overall experience. The plot loses its way and becomes a disjointed sci-fi thriller. The film's attempt at humor falls flat, and the characters lack depth and believability. Ultimately, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a half-baked AI experiment that fails to leave a lasting impression.
