The Exorcist: Believer Movie Review
Plot:
"The Exorcist: Believer" revolves around a father, Victor Fielding, whose daughter and her friend show signs of demonic possession. Victor seeks help from Chris MacNeil, who has witnessed such events before. The film explores the confrontation between good and evil.Acting:
The cast delivers credible performances, with Leslie Odom Jr. standing out as Victor. Lidya Jewett and Olivia O'Neill deliver genuine performances as the possessed girls. Ann Dowd's portrayal of the concerned nurse is comforting, and Ellen Burstyn's presence enriches the film, although her role is poorly developed.Cinematography:
The film skillfully establishes an atmosphere of suspense and suburban ambiance in the first half. The cinematography effectively captures the eerie atmosphere surrounding the possessed girls.Direction:
Director David Gordon Green pays homage to the original film by recreating scenes and incorporating references to "The Exorcist." However, the film loses its grip on the audience's interest when the exorcism process begins, leading to a rushed and lackluster climax.Verdict:
"The Exorcist: Believer" falls short of living up to the original film's magic. While it has its moments and despite offering an intriguing concept it fails to maintain interest during the exorcism process. In simple words, no matter how hard it tried but this instalment could not maintain the legacy of 'The Exorcist'.Share this review
