Plot

The Sabarmati Report explores the tragic Godhra incident, where 59 passengers aboard the Sabarmati Express lost their lives in 2002.

Acting

Vikrant Massey delivers an a good performance as Samar Kumar and justifies the role with sincerity. Raashi Khanna as Amrita, a producer, also plays her role with committment, but most impressive part is played by Ridhi Dogra as Mahika with different shades of character with well defined outlines.

Cinematography

The cinematography in The Sabarmati Report is well done, capturing the dark and intense moments of the story effectively. The visuals add to the overall impact of the film, highlighting the emotional depth of the characters and the events they are facing.

Direction

Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, The Sabarmati Report is a film that attempts to shed light on a significant historical event. However, the direction of the film falls short in some areas, particularly in its research and treatment of certain characters. While the film makes viewers engaged for certain duration but the narration with glossy patches makes is less believable and more like a typical commercial drama.

Conclusion

The Sabarmati Report is an interesting take on a tragic event in Indian history, but it falters in its execution at times. The strong performances by the lead actors and the overall premise of the film make it worth a watch for those interested in historical dramas. However, the film could have benefitted from a more nuanced approach to storytelling and character development.
