Plot:
Dhaakad is an action-packed film that revolves around Agni (Kangana Ranaut), a special agent with an International Task Force, who is assigned the task of eliminating Rudraveer (Arjun Rampal), an international human and arms trafficker, who also runs the coal mafia. However, during the mission, she uncovers a truth that connects her to Rudraveer, making it personal.Acting:
Kangana Ranaut delivers a flawless performance as Agni, a fierce, feisty, and fearless field officer. Her agility, strength, and involvement in packaging her character to make it look believable are commendable. Arjun Rampal gives an outstanding performance as Rudraveer, the menacing villain, while Divya Dutta elevates the narrative with her solid support.Cinematography:
The action choreography and camerawork by Tetsuo Nagata get the maximum share of credits in the technical department. The film boasts of slick visuals with impressive sets and remarkable action sequences.Direction:
Debutant director Razneesh Ghai's comic book sensibilities spill over into the script’s fictional setting. Although he tries really hard to push the envelope with a woman-led action film, he finishes way short of the finish line. The movie lacks the glue that sticks everything together, and it falls short of a solid storyline and a well-thought-out screenplay that justifies the action sets and characters.Overall:
Dhaakad is a showreel for Kangana Ranaut's action heroine skills. Watch this movie if you want to see Kangana in a new avatar doing action scenes like hollywood movies. Overall this is one of the movies which are just okay to watch.Share this review
