Nazar Andaaz Review

Plot

Nazar Andaaz revolves around Sudhir, a mid-50s kind-hearted blind man who lives with his housekeeper, Bhavani. When Sudhir hires Ali, a thief, as his helper, it triggers envy between both Ali and Bhavani, who both covet Sudhir's wealth. The question is whether Sudhir will fall for their plan or sees through it and has a different agenda for them. The story is simple but full of life and hope.

Acting

Kumud Mishra's performance as Sudhir shines in this comedy-drama. His character, Sudhir, effectively tugs at the viewer's heartstrings. Abhishek Banerjee and Divya Dutta are also noteworthy as Ali and Bhavani, respectively. The duo's money-hungry yet caring characters are intriguing.

Cinematography

The cinematography captures the essence of Mumbai and Gujarat, enhancing the plot's authenticity.

Direction

Vikrant Deshmukh's debut film handles the story maturely, with a significant emotional pull in the second half. Writer Rishi Virmani creates believable characters with whom the audience will undoubtedly root.

Soundtrack

The movie's soundtrack by Vishal Mishra supplements the prevailing tone of the film. Although 'Lootere Aa Gaye' is the only song that stands out, the others are passable.

Final Verdict

Conceptually, Nazar Andaaz may not be extraordinary, but the treatment that Vikrant Deshmukh gives it makes it special. A comedy-drama that explores the beauty of life with the right attitude, the film takes viewers on a hilarious and emotional rollercoaster. The underdog film that wins against all odds, this 104-minute movie is under-promoted but deserving of attention nonetheless.
